Connecting Your Walmart Marketplace Account

Overview

Connect2Cart integrates directly with Walmart Marketplace using Walmart’s Marketplace API. Once connected, Connect2Cart will automatically begin importing new orders from your Walmart Marketplace account and will keep shipment tracking and fulfillment status synchronized.

The setup process only takes a few minutes and only needs to be completed once.

Before You Begin

Before connecting Walmart Marketplace, make sure:

  • You have an active Walmart Marketplace seller account.
  • You have administrator access to the Walmart Developer Portal.
  • Your Connect2Cart account has already been created.

Step 1: Generate Your Walmart API Credentials

  1. Sign in to the Walmart Developer Portal.
  2. Navigate to the API Keys section.
  3. Select Marketplace (US & Mexico) if prompted.
  4. Locate or generate your Marketplace API credentials.

You’ll need the following values:

  • Client ID
  • Client Secret

Keep these credentials secure, as they provide access to your Walmart Marketplace account.

Step 2: Connect Walmart to Connect2Cart

In Connect2Cart:

  2. Click Add Channel.
  3. Select Walmart Marketplace.
  4. Enter:

  5. Click Connect.

Connect2Cart will validate your credentials and establish the connection with Walmart Marketplace.

What Happens Next?

Once the connection is successful:

  • New Walmart Marketplace orders will begin importing automatically within a few moments.
  • Shipment tracking numbers and fulfillment status will automatically be sent back to Walmart whenever orders are shipped through Connect2Cart.
  • No additional configuration is required for order imports or shipment updates.

Troubleshooting

Unable to Connect

Verify that:

  • The Client ID was copied correctly.
  • The Client Secret was copied correctly.
  • Your Walmart Marketplace account is active.
  • Your API credentials have not been revoked.

Orders Are Not Importing

If the connection was recently created, allow a few minutes for the initial synchronization to begin.

If orders still do not appear:

  • Verify the Walmart channel shows Connected.
  • Confirm the API credentials are still valid.
  • Disconnect and reconnect the Walmart integration if necessary.

API Credentials Lost or Regenerated

If your Client Secret has been regenerated in Walmart:

  1. Generate a new API credential.
