Shipping Your First Order

This guide walks through the complete process of importing, purchasing, and printing your first shipping label.

Before You Begin

Verify that you have:

  • Completed your account setup
  • Added a payment method
  • Connected at least one sales channel
  • Configured at least one shipping carrier
  • Installed Printer Bridge (recommended)

Step 1 – Wait for Orders to Import

After connecting your sales channel, new orders will begin importing automatically.

Navigate to:

View Orders → Awaiting Shipment

to see orders ready to ship.


Step 2 – Open an Order

Click an order to open the Order Details page.

Review:

  • Customer information
  • Shipping address
  • Order items
  • Shipping method

Verify that all information is correct before purchasing postage.


Step 3 – Configure the Shipment

In the Configure Shipment panel:

  • Select the Ship From warehouse
  • Choose the requested ship date
  • Verify or update package weight
  • Verify package dimensions
  • Enter the declared value if needed
  • Select any required shipping options

Step 4 – Compare Shipping Rates

Click Browse Rates.

Connect2Cart retrieves available shipping services from your configured carriers.

Compare:

  • Price
  • Delivery estimate
  • Service level

Select the service that best meets your needs.


Step 5 – Purchase the Shipping Label

Click Create & Print Label.

Connect2Cart will:

  • Purchase postage
  • Create the shipping label
  • Generate a tracking number

Step 6 – Print the Label

If Printer Bridge is installed, the label prints automatically to your configured printer.

Otherwise, the label opens in your browser for manual printing.


Step 7 – Verify Shipment

After the label is created:

  • Tracking information is saved to the order.
  • Shipment History is updated.
  • The order status changes to Shipped.
  • Tracking information is sent to your connected sales channel.
  • Customer notifications are sent automatically if messaging is enabled.

Your shipment is now complete.
