Connect2Cart allows you to create multiple user accounts for your organization. Each user receives their own username and password, allowing multiple team members to securely access the same Connect2Cart account.
Adding individual user accounts helps you avoid sharing login credentials while providing accountability for actions performed within the system.
Before You Begin
Only users with administrative access can create, edit, or remove user accounts.
Each user should have:
- A unique username
- A valid email address
- A secure password
Opening User Management
To manage users:
- Select Users from the left navigation menu.
- The Users page displays all users associated with your Connect2Cart account.
From this page you can:
- View existing users
- Create new users
- Edit user information
- Delete users
Adding a New User
To create a new user:
- Open the Users page.
- Click Add New User.
- Complete the required fields.
Username
Enter a unique username that the user will use when signing in to Connect2Cart.
Enter the user’s email address.
The email address may be used for password recovery, system notifications, and other account-related communications.
Password
Create a secure password for the new user.
Confirm Password
Re-enter the password to verify it has been entered correctly.
- Click Save.
The new user can immediately sign in using their username and password.
Viewing Users
The Users list displays all users configured for your account.
For each user you can see:
- Username
- Merchant Name
- Merchant ID
Available actions include:
- View user details
- Edit user information
- Delete the user
Editing a User
To update an existing user:
- Open the Users page.
- Click the Edit icon next to the user.
- Update the information as needed.
- Save your changes.
Changes take effect immediately.
Deleting a User
To remove a user from your account:
- Open the Users page.
- Click the Delete icon.
- Confirm the deletion.
After a user has been deleted, they can no longer sign in to Connect2Cart.
Best Practices
- Create an individual account for each employee.
- Do not share usernames or passwords between users.
- Use strong passwords that are difficult to guess.
- Remove user accounts promptly when an employee no longer requires access.
- Keep user email addresses current to ensure important account notifications are received.
