Warehouses define the physical location that your shipments originate from. Each warehouse stores the return address and contact information used when purchasing shipping labels. If your business ships from more than one location, you can create multiple warehouses and choose the appropriate one during shipment processing.
The default warehouse is automatically selected when creating shipping labels but can be changed on individual shipments if needed.

How Warehouses Are Used
Warehouses are used throughout Connect2Cart whenever a shipping label is created.
The selected warehouse determines:
- Ship From address
- Sender contact information
- Return address printed on shipping labels
- Origin location used when obtaining shipping rates
When shipping an order, you can select a different warehouse from the Configure Shipment panel if the order should ship from a different location.
Best Practices
- Create a warehouse for each physical shipping location.
- Give warehouses descriptive names such as Main Warehouse, East Coast Fulfillment, or Retail Store.
- Verify the shipping address carefully, as carrier rates and transit times are based on the warehouse location.
- Set your most frequently used location as the default warehouse.
- Review warehouse information whenever your business moves or contact information changes.
