Overview
Before purchasing a shipping label, Connect2Cart allows you to configure package details and shipping preferences.
These settings determine the shipping rates that are returned during rate shopping.
Ship From
Select the warehouse that will be used as the shipment origin.
Warehouses are configured under Account Settings.
The selected warehouse determines the return address and origin used by the shipping carrier.
Requested Ship Date
Specify the date the package will be shipped.
You may enter a date manually or use the Presets menu.
Available presets include:
- Today
- Tomorrow
- Next Business Day
- End of Week
Weight
Enter the package weight using pounds and ounces.
Accurate weights help ensure correct shipping rates and avoid carrier adjustments.
Package Dimensions
Enter the package dimensions:
- Length
- Width
- Height
Package dimensions may affect available services and shipping costs.
Insurance
Enable Include Insurance in Rate Quotes if you would like insured shipping options included during rate shopping.
Declared Value
Enter the value of the package.
This value is used when calculating insurance costs.
Delivery Options
Additional delivery options may be available depending on the selected carrier.
Packaging
Select the packaging type used for the shipment.
Available options depend on the configured carrier.
Hazardous Materials
If supported by the selected carrier, indicate whether the shipment contains hazardous materials.
Dry Ice
Enable this option when shipping packages containing dry ice using supported carriers.
